Our Values.

Connection

Here at Splash Occupational Therapy we understand connection is key when working with our clients. We place a large emphasis on developing and maintaining positive relationships between the client, family, and therapy team. As well as with connection to the community and services available to support our clients.

Collaboration

Collaboration can make a huge difference in enhancing client outcomes, we aim to be complementary to traditional community based therapies and value collaborative care.

Cheer

We believe a client is best able to achieve their goals when they are enjoying themselves. That is why we focus on fun first therapy to support our clients engagement and support them in developing their confidence.

Success Stories

"Today I felt relaxed in the water!"

Sensory Regulation is one of the biggest benefits we see in Aquatic Therapy, we love helping clients to find their zen!

"Today I jumped in the deep end!"

We love helping our clients to build their confidence both in and out of the water!

"Today I did an underwater handstand!"

Underwater acrobatic activities such as handstands and somersaults are fantastic for the development of spatial awareness, coordination, core strength and stabilising muscles. But most of all, they are so much FUN!

"Today I swam the entire length of the pool!"

The development of aquatic safety skills and endurance in the water is an important community access and participation goal for many clients, particularly living on the South Coast where the local beach lifestyle is such a huge part of daily living.

"I had an extraordinary weekend because I went swimming at the caravan park!"

We love hearing when our work in therapy is supporting clients to reach their community participation goals and experience the joy in engaging with their aquatic environments.

"Today I put my face in the water!"

Water familiarisation can be a challenging sensory experience, however is an important step in working towards confidence and safety in and around the water.

"Today I picked up the dive toy from the deep end!"

Practicing with dive toys provides a great opportunity for clients to practice their swim skills and build their confidence in the water in a fun and challenging way.
